Gautier
Gautier’s beauty is unrivaled for its natural diversity. Stately live oaks line more than 70 miles of waterfront in this bedroom community on the Mississippi Gulf Coast. From The Gulf of Mexico breezes to the twists and turns of the inland bayous, the natural beauty and quality of life in Gautier beckon modern day “settlers” to enjoy all the serenity and amenities Gautier has to offer. It is centrally located between Pascagoula (the largest industrial area of Mississippi with thousands of high-paying manufacturing jobs), and the Biloxi-Gulfport area (with a high concentration of tourism related jobs, many in the gaming industry). Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College’s Jackson County campus is located in Gautier, the only community college in Mississippi, Alabama, and Louisiana to be in the top 100 associate degree producers in the nation.
Recognized as “Nature’s Playground”, Gautier is home to the 365 acre Shepard State Park, Mississippi Sandhill Crane National Wildlife Refuge and is bordered by the Pascagoula River. It is also the location of the Jackson County campus of Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College.
